Installing dark sky hubble light shields on Waterford street lights
Installing Hubble light shields on Waterford's street lamps

In August 2005, sixteen Waterford street lights were modified by adding shields to the lights. These shields were chosen to reduced the glare of the street lights shining into homes, to reduce the glare to pedestrians, and to help preserve the night sky.

Village residents were asked to donate $16 per family to cover the costs involved.
